In a press release, NATO said it seeks a constructive relationship with Russia when it “makes it possible”.

In addition, Brussels called on Moscow to take advantage of the time remaining until December 18 and change its decision to withdraw from the treaty, as well as begin "full compliance."

On June 18, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Russia would withdraw from the Open Skies Treaty in six months - on December 18.

Moscow recalled that all responsibility for the collapse of the treaty lies with Washington, which on May 27 notified the decision of the American side not to return to the Don.

The Foreign Ministry concluded that attempts to achieve unilateral advantages while ignoring Russia's interests and concerns are "doomed to failure."

The Russian department also stressed: "It is impossible to ensure your security without taking into account the security interests of Russia and its allies."
