Lavrov said this at a press conference following talks with Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei.

“We expressed concern about the line that the European Union is pursuing with regard to our countries.

A line cannot be recognized as constructive when attitudes such as resistance, deterrence and interaction are formulated, ”he said.

Lavrov also said that, taking into account the aggressive line of the West, Russia and Belarus agreed to coordinate efforts in order to strengthen the state sovereignty of the two countries.

He added that Moscow and Minsk agreed to ensure the national security of the two states by joint efforts on the basis of existing international legal agreements.

Earlier, Lavrov informed the Foreign Minister of Belarus about the results of the meeting of Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden in Geneva.
