This was reported on the official website of the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in Crimea.

"As a result of heavy rains, 87 facts of flooding were registered in 63 private households ... The basements of 24 residential apartment buildings were also flooded," the operational information section says.

A temporary accommodation center has been set up at the Avangard Hotel, where 52 people are now, of which nine are children.

Rescuers evacuated 49 citizens. 

The head of the local administration, Yanina Pavlenko, previously reported eight victims.

An emergency mode has been introduced in the region.
