According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 23 criminal cases were initiated under Art.
327 of the Criminal Code "Forgery, production or circulation of forged documents, state awards, stamps, seals or letterheads", one - under Art.
159 of the Criminal Code "Fraud".
"Operational-search measures are aimed at suppressing the facts of the organization, production and sale of fictitious certificates of the absence of coronavirus infection and fake vaccination certificates in the territory of the Moscow region," the police explained.
Earlier, Roskomnadzor blocked a number of websites selling vaccination certificates.
