Customs officers in Toulouse have increased the number of contraband cigarettes this week.
Monday evening, while they were in the town of Gaud, on the Franco-Spanish border, they checked the loading of a vehicle.
And they weren't disappointed.
Inside, no less than 8,000 packets of Spanish cigarettes, intended for resale in the Toulouse metropolitan area.
For its part, the Frouzins customs brigade organized various checks during tolls in the Pink City, but also at the Matabiau station and in shops.
As a result, more than 5,500 packets of contraband cigarettes were seized.
In total, the shortfall for those responsible for this trafficking is nearly 100,000 euros.
The vehicles carrying these cartridges were also confiscated.
