The County Administrative Board writes in a press release that there is currently an extremely high fire risk in the whole of Kalmar County.
This means that the risk of ignition is high and that the spread of fires is very fast.
As of 10 June, there will be a fire ban in forests and land throughout Kalmar County.
In the press release, the county administrative board also supports SMHI's warning of very high temperatures from Friday and next week.
This warning applies to the whole of Kalmar County except Öland.
