  • After five weeks of hearing, the prosecution requested heavy sentences against the defendants tried in the context of this vast case of fraud.

  • On Friday, defense lawyers will begin pleading in defense of their clients.

    Starting with that of Nicolas Sarkozy.

    The judgment will then be reserved.

At the Paris judicial court,

“He was President of the Republic at the time of the events.

A function which required irreproachable behavior… ”The prosecution requested, this Thursday afternoon, a one-year prison sentence including six months suspended against Nicolas Sarkozy in the context of the Bygmalion case trial .

Suspended sentences have also been requested against almost all the other defendants in the case, tried since May 20 in this vast fraud case.

With the notable exception of Bastien Millot, former founder of the Bygmalion agency, for whom a two-year prison sentence, one of which was firm.
