Follow SVT's reporter on a ride in the hydrogen-powered garbage truck in the clip.

The customer of the car is the city of Gothenburg and behind the project, which is largely financed with EU money, is a collaboration between Renova, the fuel cell company Powercell, Scania, JOAB and KTH.

It is basically an electric car, but instead of being powered by a whole lot of batteries, it uses a fuel cell that is charged with the help of hydrogen, explains Hans Zackrisson, who is development manager at Renova.
