Christoffer Nikolausson and Gunilla Johansson from the county administrative board enter the bakery on the small shopping street at Böda Sand.

They check that there are signs about the maximum number in the store, and that other rules according to the Pandemic Act are followed.

And then they talk to the owner and write down what they have come up with in the minutes.

- It feels like they have a good idea of how to handle an upcoming summer with a lot of people, says Christoffer Nikolausson, supervisory officer at the county administrative board.

Good compliance

The bakery owner is also happy with the visit.

- We have worked hard to make this work, so it feels great that they are happy with us and think we have done a good job, says Linda Kaarle who runs the bakery.

How does it feel that the county administrative board comes for unannounced visits?

- We want the guests to feel safe, so it feels great, says Linda Kaarle.

Positive attitude

When Christoffer Nikolausson and Gunilla Johansson are done with the shops on the street in Böda Sand, they continue out to the campsite to check that everything looks good there as well.

And it does.

And despite the fact that the inspections by the county administrative board are unannounced, they are seldom or never met with sour faces - on the contrary.

- It is very positive, it is almost like they are waiting for us.

I think many people want to discuss these issues with someone, and also get a receipt that what they do is good, says Christoffer Nikolausson.
