June 17, 2021 There are 15 Italian regions in the green zone and not 3, as shown by an incorrect version of the epidemiological map published in the afternoon by the ECDC, the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control.

In fact, Lombardy, Piedmont, Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Abruzzo, Marche, Lazio, Umbria and Puglia have been added to Sardinia, Liguria and Molise, the already green Regions in the first map. Campania, Calabria, Sicily, Basilicata and Valle d'Aosta remain in orange.

The EU Center corrected itself without explaining the causes behind the incorrect coloring.
