Auditor General Choi Jae-hyeong, who is mentioned as a potential presidential candidate in the opposition, was silent on the question of the presidential challenge.

President Choi met with reporters before attending the plenary session of the National Assembly Judiciary Committee on the morning of today (18th) and was asked, 'A decision will be mentioned in late June or early July.

President Choi also remained silent when asked, 'What do you think of the opposition leader?'

However, it seems inevitable that public remarks will be unavoidable if questions from opposition lawmakers are raised at the next plenary meeting.

Choi received a love call from the opposition party to run for president in the process of auditing the suspicion of manipulation of the economic evaluation of Wolsong Nuclear Power Plant No. 1 promoted by the current government and requesting an investigation to the prosecution.

Some observers say that Choi may resign as chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection within the next month and declare his candidacy for president.
