June 17, 2021 The decree law containing the rules to strengthen the Ministry of Ecological Transition has been launched in the Council of Ministers

A plan to be implemented quickly to allow full adoption of the PNRR, to support the functions of the Via Pnrr-Pniec Commission, as well as to achieve the decarbonisation and environmental policy objectives undertaken within the EU and with the Paris Agreements, for the two-year period 2021-2022.

'' This decree is to be considered a first, important step in the path already traced to the strengthening of the Mite ", declares Minister Roberto Cingolani." We will start immediately with the recruitments to begin with the grounding of the Pnrr projects. The direction is that of an ever stronger and more specialized ministry, necessary for the great environmental challenges to which we are called ''.

The first step, reads a note from the dicastery, provides for a call for the recruitment of 218 graduates, with 50% of the places reserved for subjects who have already carried out specialist technical and operational support activities in environmental matters at the Ministry of Ecological transition for at least two years, even if not continuous, in the three years prior to the aforementioned date.

An additional 200 technicians will be hired instead to meet the needs dictated by the hydrogeological instability and will be assigned to the regional commissioner structures. A total of over 400 new hires, 418 to be exact.

The reform also provides for the establishment of an ad hoc Department for the NRP, a structure that will make use of two general directorates to accompany the implementation of the NRP and to report on the use of funds to the EU.

Finally, for the performance of the technical and scientific activities related to the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the ministry will be able to use up to a maximum of thirty technicians from Enea and Ispra, who will serve in secondment at Mild.
