China News Service, June 18, according to US media citing police in Phoenix, Arizona, that multiple shootings occurred in the West Valley area on the afternoon of the 17th local time.
Surprise City Police Constable Greg Welch said, “We confirmed that two people were shot in random acts.” He said there were multiple shooting locations, but he could not provide exact numbers.
Banner health agency officials said that their three hospitals have received nine wounded.
Two injured were in Banner Boswell, three injured in Banner Thunderbird, and four injured in Banner Del Webb.
It is not clear whether the injured had gunshot wounds or other injuries.
Welch said a suspect was arrested at an intersection in Surprise City.
One of the two shooting victims in his community was hospitalized in a critical condition.
