China News Service, June 17th. According to a report compiled by Australia.com, Victoria, Australia, established an anti-racism task force on the 16th to advise the state government on the formulation of strategies to address discrimination based on race and belief.

SBS reported that the working group was announced on the 16th and will consider issues such as unconscious bias, privilege, race and other forms of discrimination, and how racism manifests in employment and access to services.

It will be composed of members of the Victorian Multicultural Commission, the Human Rights Commission and the wider community, and will consult directly with the community.

Victorian Minister of Indigenous Affairs Gabrielle Williams said the government would love to hear the community’s ideas on what actions should be taken to combat racism.

She said: "This is the task of the task force to explore the best ways for the government to address Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, racism and slander. We know that too many Victorians are still experiencing these things."

The task force also provided more than 3.8 million Australian dollars in new funding for 42 community anti-racism actions.
