On Wednesday, Piteå Municipality, Pikab and Piteå Science Park called a press conference to tell more about the plans to develop Campus Piteå.

"It's a super hard job"

The head of the municipality, Andreas Lind, states that there is a great desire to develop the city's campus.

But the ambitions must be raised even more and to coordinate the work, Greta Wimander, head of the Innovation Arena Piteå Science Park, has been hired as the new campus developer.

- It is a super hard job, but I am ready to start working with this this autumn, she says.

How are you going to attract the students back to Piteå again?

- I think you have to think that it is a long-term job of about ten years.

At the same time as today we have a dialogue with actors who can already start working to create more study places.

Then it's also a lot about creating something new, which Piteå has a tradition of before, says Greta Wimander, new campus developer.
