China has announced that it has successfully launched a spacecraft carrying three astronauts to build its own space station.

The three will stay at the space station under construction for about three months and will also perform extravehicular activities.

According to the state-owned China Central Television, a manned spacecraft "Shenzhou 12" was launched from the Sakesen Satellite Launch Center in the inland area at 10:20 am on the 17th of Japan time.

The spacecraft entered its planned orbit approximately 10 minutes later, and the project manager announced that the launch was successful.

Three male astronauts from Air Force pilots will be on board the spacecraft and will stay at the space station under construction for about three months to carry out construction work and perform extravehicular activities twice during their stay. ..

This is the first time that a manned spacecraft in China has been launched in about five years, and it is the first time for an astronaut to stay at a space station to carry out construction work.

China's space station is aiming for completion next year, and the core facility "Tenwa" was launched in April, and manned spacecraft and cargo ships are scheduled to be launched in the future.

Last year, China used an unmanned lunar probe to collect lunar rocks and brought them back to Earth, and last month landed the probe on Mars, accelerating space development.

As China celebrates the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party next month, it seems that China also wants to link this launch to the rise of national prestige.
