Israeli sources warned of a first storm that might hit the recent Israeli-Emirati relations, amid expectations of canceling an agreement to pump Emirati oil through an Israeli line.

The newspaper, "Israel Today", which supports outgoing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said that the damage to relations is due to expectations of the possibility of canceling a previous agreement between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv, according to which the UAE would pump its oil to the Mediterranean through the Eilat-Ashkelon pipeline known as the "Katsa" pipeline.

The newspaper suggested that the crisis would react after the new Minister of Environmental Protection, Tamar Zandberg, demanded the cancellation of the agreement between the UAE and Israel for reasons related to environmental protection.

The project was supposed to transport UAE oil to Europe, via a pipeline linking the ports of Eilat on the Red Sea and Ashkelon on the Mediterranean, noting that most of this oil currently passes through the Suez Canal.
