Danish star Christian Eriksen, victim of cardiac arrest when he entered the Euro football competition on Saturday, will have a cardiac defibrillator implanted, the Danish federation announced on Thursday.

"After the various examinations of the heart undergone by Christian it was decided that he should wear a subcutaneous defibrillator", known by the acronym of DAI (automatic implantable defibrillator) indicates the DBU in a press release.

"This device is necessary after a heart attack because of disturbances in the rhythm" of the heart, she explains.
