A road drama took place this Thursday morning around 8:15 a.m. at the Taillis roundabout, in Cesson-Sévigné, near Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine).

A road accident between a car and a cyclist claimed the life of a 43-year-old woman.

The victim was riding a bicycle on the imposing roundabout located right next to the McDonald's restaurant.

When they arrived there, the firefighters discovered the woman stranded under the vehicle and could do nothing to save her.

Present on the spot, the national police opened an investigation to try to determine the circumstances of the tragedy.

For this, the accident brigade will have to hear the driver of the car and her passenger.

Shocked, the latter was taken care of by the firefighters but was not hospitalized.
