One in two French people (51%) believes that a victory for the National Rally in one or more regions during the poll on June 20 and 27 would not represent a danger for democracy, indicates an Ifop poll for the Journal du dimanche published this Thursday .

While the RN is given the lead in six regions in the first round, with possibilities to win in the second in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, or even in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and Center-Val de Loire, 22 % of people questioned think that it does not represent "at all" a danger for democracy and 29% "rather not", underlines the survey conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday with a sample of 1,000 people.

In detail, the voters of the National Rally are obviously the most convinced (87%), followed by those of Les Républicains (57%) and La France insoumise (40%), just ahead of the Socialist Party (37%).

Among the 49% of people questioned who believe that a victory for the RN at the regional level would constitute a danger for democracy, 26% answer "yes, absolutely" and 23% "rather yes".

The voters most concerned are those of Europe Ecology The Greens and La République en Marche (75% for each), followed by those of the PS (63%) and LFI (60%).
