Late on Saturday evening, June 5, it started to burn at Furuparksskolan in Luleå.

17 units went out to the site to work with the fire that ravaged open flames in the roof and attic construction.

"No classroom access"

After the fire, the school could not be used.

- We do not have access to classrooms to be able to keep all classes at Furuparksskolan, but must find solutions in the immediate area.

We take care to keep the classes intact as far as possible, says Louice Stridsman, operations manager for the primary school in a press release.

Older children have to move

Luleå municipality's plan is that preschool class to year 3 will remain at Furuparksskolan while years 4-6 will be moved to Tallkronanskolan at Kronan.

- There is an overcapacity in the current situation.

There is also a school in the immediate area, which is favorable for both students and staff, says Louice Stridsman, operations manager for the primary school.

There is also a certain capacity to receive more students at Örnässkolan based on the free choice of school.
