How do we want to live and work?

The question is not new, but it is more relevant these days than ever.

Many have been working from home for more than a year and can no longer imagine what it was like before.

Let alone that they want to think about what comes next.

For some, the home office is a blessing and the opportunity to work at your own pace.

Others, on the other hand, want nothing more than to leave their own four walls behind.

You are stressed by the monotony, the loneliness or the hustle and bustle - depending on your life situation.

Quite a few are wondering whether they want to join the streams of commuters on the A 5 or other traffic bottlenecks in the Rhine-Main area in the morning.

Coworking spaces at the gates of the big city are a way to straighten out work and enjoy contacts, but still escape the chaos of traffic.

For example in the Wetterau.

Bernd Overath and his two colleagues Steffen Michel and Nick Jüngermann have recognized this and also offer coworking spaces in their Classic Garage in Bad Nauheim.

Their concept rests on three pillars: In addition to the aforementioned coworking, fixed office space can also be rented.

Parking spaces for cars are also available

In addition, they offer parking spaces for luxurious or original cars in their garage.

“The Classic Garage is busy, so are the offices, and we still have a few free spaces in the coworking area,” says Overath.

There are plenty of coworking spaces in nearby Frankfurt.

But coworkers who settle in Bad Nauheim usually have other reasons for choosing this model.

One is the traffic situation in the Rhine-Main area, which is characterized by traffic jams.

Anyone who drives to Frankfurt from the Wetterau district every day is happy to be able to take a few departures earlier to escape the slow flow of traffic.

Overath himself, who lives in Bad Nauheim and runs an office for trade fairs and events in Frankfurt, now loves working from his workplace in the Classic Garage, as he says.

A coworker pays 190 euros per month.

Apart from the closed walls and the furnishings, the offer does not differ from that for other tenants.

In addition to the coffee and tea bar, the additional costs also include high-speed WiFi and lockable compartments for valuables.

And those who have a customer appointment can use the conference rooms, which are available after digital pre-registration.

Falk Schmidt from Nidda would have liked to open his office to give people a place to work.

Alone: "The concept just didn't work," he says.

Schmidt and his wife both work as consultants, are often on the move and have often enough benefited from similar freely chosen office concepts.

So what could be more natural than to offer such an offer in your own four office walls in Nidda.

"We did have a few inquiries, but many of them just didn't come or didn't want anything regular," says Schmidt.

He actually hoped that there would be some interested people who no longer wanted to travel to Frankfurt after the pandemic.

After all, driving from Nidda to Frankfurt and back took up to three hours a day.
