Bruno Garcia-Cruciani, the former companion of Julie Douib, accused of having killed him in 2019 in Ile-Rousse, was sentenced Wednesday by the Bastia Assize Court to life imprisonment, with a sentence 22-year security period.

Bruno Garcia-Cruciani was also sentenced to a ban on the possession of a weapon for 15 years.

The decision to deprive him of parental authority over the couple's two sons, now aged 11 and 13, will be studied after this criminal verdict, during a civil hearing.
