After the victory of the Blues against Germany (1-0), Tuesday evening, the supporters had to go home to respect the curfew of 23 hours.

Some have dragged it a bit, but without overdoing it.

For the occasion, the Minister of the Interior had asked the police to show leniency.

Report in the 20th arrondissement of Paris.

REPORTAGE

The victory of the Blues against Germany on Tuesday night (1-0) was followed by many supporters from bars or cafes.

Curfew requires, everyone was asked to be home at 11 pm.

But in a letter addressed to the prefects, the Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin had asked them to "show leniency" to allow the return in peace of football fans to their homes.

"People were so happy to be outside and watch soccer"

In Ménilmontant, in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, there were still people on the terrace, shortly after 11 p.m. "The bar told us we could stay a little longer," smiles a customer. "You could believe that we had won the World Cup final, people were so happy to be outside and watch a football match!", She adds. But very quickly, the chairs of the bars pile up and the tables regain the interior of the cafes.

"We just finished. We finished a little late," admits a supporter.

"But we live ten minutes away. We know that at 11:30 pm, everyone will be in bed, that's what we have to remember," he continues.

No worries either for those who live further away: "In fact, the curfew is a bit flexible. We don't feel it too soon. At one point, we saw a lot of police here, but there it wasn't. 'there aren't any,' says another.

"The police are cute"

A little further on, a police car patrols discreetly in the neighborhood.

"The police are cute. At 11 pm, they came by and saw that it was closing. We can't wait for it to be normal," says the manager of a bar.

In the neighboring square, some still refuse to go to bed and replay the match ... literally: the cries and the sounds of the ball echoed for half an hour at the foot of the church.

The compromise between curfew and the French team's match will once again be on the table next Wednesday, during the match between France and Portugal (9 p.m.).

No problem, however, for the match against Hungary on Saturday, since it will take place in the afternoon (3 p.m.).

The constraint should then be lifted for the finals games, since the curfew is due to end on June 30.
