American actress Lisa Banes, best known for her role in the movie "Gone Girl," died 10 days after being hit by a two-wheeler in Manhattan, a New York police spokesperson said on Tuesday. .
Lisa Banes, 65, was pronounced dead in hospital on Monday, following the accident on June 4, near the Lincoln Center cultural center, the spokesperson told AFP.
She suffered a head trauma after a two-wheeler burned a red light as she entered to cross the street.
New York Police were unable to determine which type of two-wheeler was involved.
An investigation is underway, but no arrests have yet been made, the spokesperson said.
