June 15, 2021 From the European Union agreement with the USA of the new president Joe Biden comes the definitive stop to the additional US duties that have affected Made in Italy agri-food exports for a value of about half a billion euros on products such as Grana Padano, Gorgonzola , Asiago, Fontina, Provolone but also salami, mortadella, crustaceans, molluscs, citrus fruits, juices, cordials and liqueurs such as amari and limoncello. Use Joe Biden to end the Airbus-Boeing dispute over the next five years.



The agreement between the US and the EU comes - underlines Coldiretti - just over three months after the temporary suspension of the additional 25% tariff on a long list of products imported from Italy and the European Union which entered into force on October 18, 2019 on the initiative of Donald Trump. A measure which was subsequently followed by an escalation that led to the entry into force on 10 November 2019 of additional EU tariffs on US products equal to 15% for airplanes that reached 25% on ketchup, cheddar cheese, peanuts, cotton and potatoes along with tractors, consoles and video games to which the United States has replicated by hitting the import of aircraft production parts from France and Germany, French and German wines, cognacs and brandies, which are included in thelist of products taxed starting from 12 January 2021.
