Arsenic does not lose its toxicity over time and is today one of the major work environment risks where collections are handled in museums and magazines.

Therefore, a conservator was contacted who has now digitized, processed and isolated the fragments by, among other things, sewing them into age-resistant plastic pockets.

- They wanted to decorate the book covers and painted them green.

The green color probably contains arsenic, says paper conservator Fanny Stenback.
