An elderly man in his 80s has attacked his wife with a hammer in the Moratalaz neighborhood of Madrid, who is in serious condition, according to Emergencias 112 Comunidad de Madrid.
The attack took place around nine o'clock tonight at an address, located at number 1, Montpellier street in Moratalaz.
The health workers have been notified by the National Police and have found the 81-year-old woman in the house with a
severe head injury
.
After being intubated, she was transferred with a serious prognosis to Hospital 12 de Octubre.
The National Police are investigating the causes of the aggression but the first investigations indicate that the man has attacked the woman with a hammer.
