Yesterday, the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, reiterated his government's categorical refusal to use the ministries for the upcoming parliamentary elections, because they are a professional government, noting that whoever will use the ministries for electoral purposes will be investigated, while Iraq moves regarding the repeated Turkish "aggressions."

Al-Kazemi said, during the weekly cabinet session, yesterday: “We have proven that we are a government of actions, not a government of words, and I directed ministries to be close to citizens, to provide services to our people, and to work with all seriousness and with utmost energies to restore citizens’ confidence in the political process and elections,” according to a statement. for the Iraqi government.

He added that there are complaints against "the procedures of some joints of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, and suspicions of exploiting them for electoral purposes at the expense of the livelihood of the poor, through the support of some candidates, with regard to social welfare salaries, and these complaints will be verified."

Al-Kazemi stressed that, "We do not accept that the poor, their strength and their salaries turn into fat and exploitation of elections."

He said: "We have great interest in providing the food basket that will be distributed to the poor, and it will contain more materials than the materials currently distributed, in quantity and quality, and this is one of the current government's priorities to alleviate the suffering of the poor and provide them with the requirements of a decent living."

On the other hand, the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, announced yesterday moves regarding the repeated Turkish "aggressions" on Iraqi lands.

And the Iraqi News Agency (INA) quoted Rasoul as saying that "the Iraqi constitution stipulates respect for the sovereignty of all countries, and therefore all countries must respect Iraq and its sovereignty."

He added: "We reject the Iraqi territory as a starting point for carrying out any terrorist act against any neighboring country, and Turkey should put before its eyes the sovereignty of Iraq."
