It is reported that Kiev plans to abolish the free economic zone "Crimea", created in 2014, as a result of which the Ukrainians living on the peninsula will be subject to the same tax rules as in Ukraine.

According to the online edition, the project is going to be adopted before the summit of the so-called "Crimean Platform", scheduled for August.

The plans of the Kiev authorities to create the "Crimean Platform" format became known in June 2020.

Ukraine intends to discuss with partners how the "platform for the de-occupation of Crimea" should look like.

About ten countries expressed their desire to participate in the project.

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which most residents voted in favor of reunification with Russia.
