China News Service, June 15th. According to the US "Overseas News" report, a second-class fire broke out in a gift shop in Chinatown, Manhattan, New York, on the afternoon of the 13th, emitting a lot of smoke.

The City Fire Department (FDNY) stated that the source of the fire was the basement, but fortunately there were no casualties.

  At around 2 pm on the 13th, thick smoke came out from the gift shop at No. 205 Kennedy Road. Firefighters who arrived at the scene immediately used ladders and fire hydrants to extinguish the fire, and finally controlled the fire at about 3:40. Fortunately, no casualties were caused.

  Affected by the fire, the two-way lanes of Kennedy Road were temporarily closed until the fire was controlled.

On January 27, 2020, a fire broke out in the 6-story commercial and residential building at 106 Mulberry Street, Chinatown. The gift shop owned by the Bengali shopkeeper on the first floor caught fire at 12:30 noon. As a result, the neighboring Chinese gift shop was hit, and the residents upstairs were evacuated. Fortunately, no one was injured.

According to police sources, it was preliminary judged that the cause of the fire was suspected to be a fire in the warehouse circuit behind the gift shop of the Bangladeshi shopkeeper.
