Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said after his meeting on Monday with his American counterpart Joe Biden that there is no problem between the two countries that cannot be resolved, describing the meeting as frank and fruitful, while Biden said about him that it was very good.

In a press conference, on the sidelines of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), President Erdogan said that during the meeting with Biden, views were exchanged on a number of regional issues and bilateral relations.

The Turkish president added that during the bilateral and public meetings, he stressed the need to stop the support provided to the Kurdish People's Protection Units in Syria.

Erdogan said after his first meeting with Biden, since he took office at the beginning of the year, that they discussed Ankara's purchase of the Russian S-400 missile defense system, as well as the US F-35 warplane program. ), both of which have caused tension in relations between Washington and Ankara in the past few years.

For his part, the US President said after the meeting with Erdogan that it was a very good meeting.

After the meeting between the two presidents, a 40-minute meeting began between the delegations of the two countries, and took place inside the NATO headquarters in the Belgian capital, Brussels.

Although Turkey and America are allies within NATO, their differences regarding the files of Syria and human rights in Turkey, the Armenian file during the Ottoman Empire, and the tension in the eastern Mediterranean have emerged recently, and led to tensions between the two countries.
