It was anticipated, due to the rise of the Delta variant (formerly called the Indian variant) in the United Kingdom, it is now official: England postpones by four weeks the final stage of its deconfinement, initially planned for June 21, until July 19.
A decision which can be explained by a rise in cases after months of decline, due to the more contagious Delta variant.
Four weeks which should make it possible to increase between the number of first-time vaccines, but especially of second doses, which offer a better rate of protection against the coronavirus.
