CNN's famous anchor and international journalist Christian Amanpour revealed her battle with cancer on the air.

Anchor Amanpoor announced his diagnosis of ovarian cancer when he started his news program.

During a four-week break from broadcasting, she said, "I have had a successful major surgery and will be receiving chemotherapy in the next few months." "I am confident that I will overcome the disease."

Now living in London, she said she was lucky enough to have access to amazing doctors from the British National Health Service and the company has health insurance.

Amanpour explained that the decision to disclose her battle with cancer was not only for transparency, but also to emphasize the importance of early diagnosis.

Amanpour said millions of women around the world are affected by ovarian cancer, emphasizing that women should listen to their bodies as they study about the disease and receive regular diagnoses.

According to the World Cancer Research Fund, ovarian cancer is often diagnosed at a late stage and is the eighth most common cancer among women, with 313,000 new cases of ovarian cancer worldwide last year alone.
