  According to a report from the Ministry of Health of Cambodia on the 15th, 495 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia were reported in the country on the same day, 604 new cases were cured and discharged, and 13 new cases died.

Among the newly confirmed cases, 44 were imported confirmed cases and 451 were community-transmitted infections.

  The Mayor of Phnom Penh, Kun Sheng, issued a notice on the evening of the 14th, stating that from the 15th, all state-owned markets in Phnom Penh will be allowed to fully resume operations.

The notice pointed out that all stall owners who are allowed to resume business must strictly implement epidemic prevention measures, including wearing masks, keeping a safe distance, frequent disinfection, scanning the epidemic prevention QR code to enter the market, etc., especially strictly complying with the epidemic prevention measures issued by the Ministry of Health.

  The notice emphasized that all market managers, security personnel, vendors, consumers, etc. must strictly abide by epidemic prevention and safety measures and relevant government directives within the market.

  The notice pointed out that the city government authorized the 14 district governments of Phnom Penh City and the Phnom Penh City Bureau of Commerce to work together to urge all markets to ensure strict compliance with various regulations.

If it is found that the person in charge of market management or anyone refuses to cooperate and does not implement the above-mentioned regulations, administrative and legal measures will be taken to deal with it, and it will not be tolerated.

  In terms of vaccination, according to the statistics of the National Vaccination Committee of Cambodia, as of June 14, more than 3 million people in Cambodia have been vaccinated, of which 2.537 million have completed two doses, accounting for 16% of the country’s population, and 10 million people have been vaccinated. 25.3% of the target.

  According to Cambodia’s official new crown vaccination action plan, 6.22 million adults will be vaccinated in three stages this year. By mid-2022, the country’s 10 million adult population will be vaccinated to achieve the goal of establishing herd immunity.
