The firefighters, alerted by neighbors who had not heard from the family for several weeks, intervened around 6 p.m. on the fourth floor of a small building in this city located northwest of Paris.

Inside the apartment, they discovered four decaying bodies.
This is a 44-year-old mother of Haitian origin and her three children, "two boys and a girl," said a police source.
