A Japanese old man who lived his life as a driver was given a happy final year by his grandson.

On the 11th local time, the Hong Kong South China Morning Post introduced the story of 93-year-old Ryuji Urabe.

Ryuji first started driving as a taxi driver in the 1960s.

Then, in the 1990s, he moved to work as a driver of a garbage collection vehicle, and retired about 10 years ago due to health problems when he was in his 80s.

After that, Ryuji spent every day at home watching TV or lying in bed, spending a boring life.

Grandson Kotaro, who grew up in the same house since childhood, was sad to see his grandfather like this, but after much deliberation, he handed the 'steering wheel' to his grandfather again.

Although it was for gaming, Ryuji returned to his first dynamism after retirement as he took the wheel in a few years and roamed the roads of the online world.

In response, his grandson, Kotaro-san, replaced the monitor with a larger one, and prepared the equipment properly and presented it to Ryuji-san.

And from five months ago, he took a video of his grandfather who was obsessed with online racing games and released it on YouTube, and shared with the netizens the daily life of Ryuji, who is enjoying life and finding hobbies.

Grandson Kotaro said, "My grandfather was shy when he heard that his driving video was popular on YouTube, but he liked it." He said, "I want my grandfather to live happily for the rest of his life."

This is a 'news pick'.
