It has not been more than a few weeks since the rescue services in Dalarna and Gästrikland presented their collaboration with 60 manure machine operators who would be the rescue service helpful in forest fires.

Over the past 24 hours, they have been able to show what they stand for.

Hampus Paulsson is a farmer in Orsa on a daily basis, but during the forest fire outside Mora he has acted as a firefighter with a manure spreader that holds almost twice as much water as the rescue service's tankers.

- It holds 18 cubic meters and we can empty as fast or as slowly as we want and need, he says.
