People's Power Representative Lee Jun-seok visited Daejeon National Cemetery for the first time since he was elected. I also met with the bereaved family of the soldiers who died on the Cheonan, and cried as he apologized for not being able to solve the problem actively even during the conservative government.

Lee Jun-seok, representative of the People's Power, visited the Daejeon National Cemetery with the new party leadership on the morning of the 14th.

Instead of the Seoul National Cemetery, where former presidents were buried and politicians visited for the first time after their election, we first visited the Daejeon Memorial Hall, which contains the tombs of the 46 soldiers of the Cheonan warship and the graves of soldiers killed in the 2nd Yeonpyeong Battle and shelling of Yeonpyeong Island.

[Lee Jun-seok/People's Power Representative: (Victims/Injured) It will be very important to treat everyone satisfactory or reasonable. So, this will also be a subject of cooperation between the ruling and opposition parties, so I see it this way.]

After visiting the memorial tower, President Lee wrote in the guestbook, "The Republic of Korea, preparing for tomorrow, will never forget the noble sacrifice and dedication."

I also met directly with the bereaved family of the soldiers who died on the Cheonan, and when I heard the bereaved saying, 'Please protect the honor of the father of the children,' I cried.

[Lee Jun-seok / Representative of the People's Power: (Even in the conservative government) I apologize on behalf of the party for not being able to actively address this issue and making me feel so hurt even after more than 10 years.]

After visiting the Memorial Hall, Lee moved to Gwangju to find the Joint Incense Office for the collapse of the demolished building, but this is the first time that a conservative party leader has visited Gwangju since the first day of the official schedule.
