Kuwait .. Monitoring infections with the "Indian Corona"

Today, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health confirmed that some cases in the country were infected with the Indian variant of the Corona virus, as reported by the Kuwait News Agency “KUNA”, on its website.

And the official spokesman for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, announced that some cases in Kuwait were confirmed to be infected with the “delta” mutant, known as the “Indian mutant” of the Corona virus, after the results of genetic planning appeared.

Al-Sanad clarified, as reported by KUNA, that the ministry periodically conducts genetic tests for the virus to find out the types of mutant types circulating in Kuwait, and to open up prospects for cooperation with countries of the world to unify efforts to combat the virus and succeed in eliminating the pandemic.

Al-Sanad pointed out that the "delta" mutant has been detected in more than 62 countries in the world so far.

Al-Sanad added, "Coinciding with the announcement of the emergence of new patterns of the Corona virus in some countries of the world, the ministry has initiated and continued to take a series of precautionary measures, including the existing efforts for genetic planning through specialized technical teams, in order to contain the spread of the virus."

Al-Sanad renewed the call to citizens in Kuwait and those residing on its soil, to take the measures and precautions adopted to deal with the various patterns resulting from the mutations of the virus, and to intensify their maintenance in the current stage, most notably the keenness on vaccination, maintaining covering the mouth and nose, physical distancing and disinfecting hands, and avoiding unsafe gatherings.
