The gendarmerie launched on Monday a call for witnesses, to find the motorist who mowed four people on Saturday evening in Lanton, on the Arcachon basin.
A 55-year-old woman died Sunday from her injuries.
"The first investigations allow to establish that the vehicle in question is a van Mercedes Vito of dark color which underwent the following degradations: right mirror torn off, right optics broken", indicates the gendarmerie in its call for witnesses.

, the Bordeaux prosecutor's office indicates that, “on Saturday around 10:20 pm, two couples were walking on the side of the road, Chemin du Breton in Lanton when they were struck from behind by a dark vehicle traveling at high speed in the same direction and lights off.
The vehicle did not stop and continued on its way.
Three of the victims were seriously injured instantly, and the fourth shocked.
One of the victims died a few hours later in hospital.
The two couples, tourists from Manche (Normandy) spent a few days of vacation, in a campsite a few hundred meters from the drama.
The prosecution specifies that an investigation has been opened, the count of homicide by driver aggravated by the hit and run and unintentional injuries by driver crime aggravated by the hit and run.
Anyone who can bring items to the vehicle and its driver is requested to contact the Andernos-les-Bains gendarmerie brigade on 05 57 76 08 90.
