The drama began on Sunday evening, in Rouen, in the city of La Sablière.
Around 10 p.m., residents called the police to warn that around 20 young people, hooded and armed with sticks, were fighting in the street.
When the police arrived, all fled except one who was lying on the ground.
Seriously injured, he was treated on the spot by the doctors of Samu who could do nothing to save him.
A little later, during the evening, the police arrested a young man who had traces of blood on his T-shirt and took him into police custody.
An investigation was opened, entrusted to the judicial police of Rouen.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the fight is linked to an old rivalry between gangs of young people from Petit Quevilly, from which the victim comes, and from the Sablière district.
