Good evening,

a visit to the football stadium like this is always associated with emotions.

There is fighting on the pitch and cheering in the stands.

No football was played in the Waldstadion on Sunday.

The emotions still boiled high.

After intensive discussions at an extraordinary general meeting in the arena, the Frankfurt FDP has now agreed to the four-party alliance with the Greens, SPD and Volt.

157 of the 206 members present decided in favor of the coalition agreement.

There were also 45 votes against, two abstentions and two invalid votes.

    FAZ editor Carsten Knop looks back in his commentary on everything that has happened in the past few weeks.

    He writes: “It is thanks to the young liberals and committed party members that in the past few weeks many more people than usual have dealt with the content of this treaty, that many topics have been lively discussed, that it has become the most widely read coalition treaty of the past decades should have become.

    That is a great achievement - and to all those who have complained in between that campaigns are being run here, that progress is being prevented, that unnecessary risks are taken, let me say: It's called democracy.

    Our authors Mechthild Harting and Ralf Euler were there in the stadium and captured the mood and voices.

    Mood is a good keyword.

    This is because it is bad in some daycare centers in Frankfurt. At least when it comes to personnel issues. Suitable employees are often difficult to find. So difficult that now even a daycare center has to close. Head Julia Zabudkin cannot find any staff who meet her expectations. She is not alone in the problem. Other providers, such as the Arbeiterwohlfahrt and the BVZ, report that it is becoming increasingly difficult to find good applicants for vacancies. Some organizations would rather be understaffed than employing new, possibly unsuitable, people. In a city like Frankfurt, good staff is often courted. Sometimes with a ticket for public transport, sometimes with the prospect of coaching. Not every daycare center can afford this competition for well-trained and motivated employees.Kita manager Julia Zabudkin, who is responsible for five German-Russian kindergartens in the city, will therefore have to close one - although the waiting list of those interested in sending their children to the facility is long. But without suitable staff it is simply not possible to maintain the concept according to which the daycare center works. She reports of job interviews in which young professionals demanded unrealistic starting salaries and of applicants who did not identify with the profession. Our author Florentine Fritzen took a closer look at the topic.But without suitable staff it is simply not possible to maintain the concept according to which the daycare center works. Do you already have vacation plans?

    Good for you. Do you also have a valid passport or identity card? Better look again. If not, it could be a while before you get an appointment at the Frankfurt Citizens' Registration Office. Because a lot has changed since the outbreak of the corona pandemic. Appointments are only given eight days in advance. Getting one is not always easy. About ten percent fewer appointments are offered compared to the pre-Corona period. Why this is so, writes FAZ editor Petra Kirchhoff. She also learned that around ten percent of those who were able to block an appointment miss it. A lifting of the deadline is not planned - despite the falling number of new corona infections and all sorts of easing. We'll tell you how you can increase the chanceTo clarify your concerns in the office. A little tip: if you turn on your computer at night, you have good cards.

    In addition

    , our editors have chosen the best pizzeria in the city of Frankfurt, in which pizzeria was eaten, the readers decided;

    the Hessian CDU opened the election campaign and nominated the Chancellery Minister Helge Braun as the top candidate for the federal election;

    only 175 visitors could be there when the Frankfurt Opera played with “Ariadne auf Naxos”.

    That creates anger - and confusion.

    Because it was planned differently.

    Stay healthy,
