Demonstration Clamor in Colón against pardons and a warning to Pedro Sánchez: "We will go out here and in other places again"
PP Ayuso accuses the Government of "making an accomplice" to the King of pardons
The
Government
has replied to the massive protest in the Plaza de Colón against the granting of pardons to those convicted of October 1, labeling the organizers and participants as "ultra-right", blaming the previous PP Government for the breach of the legality that it has suffered the country and urging them to reflect on what they have done "for ten years against
Catalonia
."
The First Vice President, Carmen Calvo, and the Minister of Finance and Government spokesperson, María Jesús Montero, have been the two voices of the Executive in charge of making public the argument of
Moncloa
to face the tens of thousands of citizens who have cried out in
Madrid
against Pedro Sánchez's intention to grant pardon to Catalan politicians convicted of sedition and embezzlement, despite his declared willingness to challenge the State again and despite the devastatingly contrary reports from the
Supreme Court
and the
State Prosecutor's Office
.
Montero and Calvo, both from
Andalusia
where they have voted in the primaries that must be settled between Susana Díaz and Juan Espadas who will be the PSOE candidate for the presidency of the
Board
, have described the act of
Columbus
as a sign of the "impotence of the right before the solution of the problems ".
A right that, in Montero's opinion, was guilty of "breaking the law in this country." The Minister of Finance has thus pointed out to the PP and the Government of
Rajoy
, ignoring that those who offended were precisely those who are now being pardoned for the sake of "public interest." The spokeswoman for the Executive does not specify what the errors of the popular were - collecting signatures and opposing the Statute of which only 14 articles were declared unconstitutional; refuse the fiscal pact that Artur Mas claimed; reject a referendum in Catalonia on the unity of the nation or activate Article 155-, but insists that "from those powders these muds".
Carmen Calvo, along the same lines, has labeled the protests of the protesters as "papier-mâché proclamations".
She, like Montero, affirms that they only show the "impotence to do politics of the Spanish right, of the extreme right" which, she adds, "does not quite understand either the history of Spain or the recent events of which", according to the number two from the Executive, "they should be apologizing."
Calvo, who negotiated and designed with his predecessor, the popular Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, the application of Article 155 after the illegal 1-O referendum and the unilateral declaration of independence, now considers that the PP "instead of being in the square de Colón should be reviewing what he has done for ten years against Catalonia.
