Commenting on this communiqué, Tsekov noted that the G7 countries "are divided in their opinions."

According to the parliamentarian, they understand that it is necessary to have good relations with Russia, but “they simply cannot admit it,” and, as the interlocutor of RT explained, they are trying to accuse Moscow of some kind of unpredictability or of actions that allegedly destabilize the situation.

“Nevertheless, they understand that for the security of the EU it is necessary to have normal relations with Russia, we will expect that common sense will prevail ... To have some kind of agreement on reducing tensions in global problems is right, it must be done, and I hope that this will happen in the coming years, ”concluded the senator.

Earlier, following the results of the three-day G7 summit, a joint communique was issued, which states that the G7 states advocate stable and predictable relations with Russia in areas of mutual interest.
