The meeting between President Moon Jae-in and Japanese Prime Minister Suga was held twice at a location with no official video coverage schedule.
After meeting in the VIP waiting room before the first expanded meeting on the subject of health and exchanging words of goodwill, President Moon and his wife first approached and greeted them at a beach dinner.
It was the first face-to-face meeting with Prime Minister Suga, who took office in September last year, and it is said that there was no discussion of pending issues between Korea and Japan.
During the G7 meeting, President Moon also met with other major leaders one after another, spending most of his time establishing a position as a 'vaccine hub'.
He met the CEO of AstraZeneca and mentioned Korea's vaccine production capacity, and

expanded meeting, development with other G7 countries We have pledged to support the supply of vaccines to developing countries.
It is to provide 100 million dollars each this year and next year, 200 million dollars in total to 'Covax AMC', which supplies vaccines to developing countries with funds from developed countries.
In addition, he said that he could play a role as a global vaccine hub based on Korea's vaccine production capacity, and expressed his intention to seek vaccine partnerships with G7 countries as well as the US.
North Korea policy was also discussed at the Korea-UK summit, the last bilateral agenda of the G7 period.
President Moon introduced the North Korea policy shared at the Korea-US summit last month and said, "I am looking forward to a response from North Korea." Prime Minister Boris Johnson responded by saying, "I support the Korean Peninsula peace process."
