Yesh Atid MP Mika Levy was elected speaker of the Knesset (parliament) of Israel.
The Times of Israel newspaper reports.
It is noted that 67 out of 120 deputies voted for Levy's candidacy.
Earlier, the leader of the Yesh Atid party, Yair Lapid, signed a coalition agreement with the head of the New Hope party, Gideon Saar, to submit the composition of the Cabinet for approval by the Knesset.
