The three-day summit in Cornwall, in the south-east of England, was eagerly awaited by the leaders of the countries that make up the G7.

And it is the presence of Joe Biden, the new American president, which made it possible to give "

a new impetus

" to this G7, as explained by German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

A unit found, as shown in the final press release.

The United States, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, France and Japan are committed to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic with one billion doses of vaccine that will be distributed during the two coming years in a hundred countries.

A plan to reduce the time to develop future vaccines and treatments will also be put in place.

The climate emergency will also be the subject of an action plan whose aim is to limit the increase in temperatures below 1.5 ° C compared to the pre-industrial era.

On the diplomatic front, the G7 countries attacked China, which they called on to respect human rights and agreed to implement solutions to counter the new Chinese silk roads.

As for Russia, the G7 countries call on Moscow to cease all destabilizing activities.

A message that Joe Biden will certainly repeat to Vladimir Putin next Wednesday on the occasion of their meeting scheduled in Geneva.
