13 June 2021 England won 1-0 the match against Croatia, the debut match (as well as the highlight match) of Group D of Euro 2020. This at Wembley was a sort of revenge of the semifinal of the World Cup in Russia, when the Croatians they prevailed 2-1 in extra time.

This time, the English dominance is clear.

Tomorrow Scotland-Czech Republic completes the first day of the group.

Trocar with Foden, Mount and Sterling in Southgate's 4-2-3-1, Kane is the forward. A lot of 'Italy' in Dalic's 4-3-3, there are Brozovic, Rebic and Perisic. The whites leave at the boarding. Aggression in midfield and instant verticalization. Sterling pits for Foden who adjusts his left and hits the post (6 '). Croatia contracted in their own trocar, great difficulty in tackling the game. Sterling is stopped by Caleta-Car on Kane's heel, Livakovic punches Phillips' stone. Croatia comes out when the heat causes the British to slow down.

Croatia begins the second half with a more fluid dribble, Modric 'teases' Pickford from distance. Shortly after, however, England passed: an excellent initiative by Phillips (the best in the field) who needed the inclusion of Sterling, good at anticipating the central defense (57 '). Not good Kane shortly after, the opportunity of doubling wasted. Little from the Croatian side. Rebic very inaccurate after Brozovic's shot was rejected. Mount grazes the set-piece. Pickford and the Wembley crowd shouldn't flinch at the Croatian reaction, a disappointing race for Dalic's men overall.
