"The transmission of love" is not interrupted!

The amount of blood collected has not been greatly affected by the epidemic

It is worth mentioning that in the case of the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia last year, the country's unpaid blood donation has not been greatly affected.

Data show that in 2020, the amount of blood collected from free blood donations across the country reached 26.36 million units, a total of 5,272 tons, and the amount of blood collected was only 0.48% less than in 2019.

Under the epidemic, the people's enthusiasm for donating blood free of charge has not diminished, and those who have recovered from new coronary pneumonia have used their own recovery plasma to contribute to the fight against the epidemic.

Due to the specific neutralizing antibodies, the plasma of the recovered patients can neutralize the virus of the patient and effectively reduce the viral load, thereby preventing the new coronavirus from causing continuous damage to the body and organs, so it is a very effective means of treatment .

The National Health Commission recently revealed that up to now, more than 4,700 convalescent plasmas have been collected across the country, totaling 1.47 million ml.

Nearly 3,000 people were collected in Hubei Province alone, accounting for 60%.
